April

Have you ever wondered
  • How terrorism investigations begin?
  • How law enforcement agents deal with classified intelligence?
  • How prosecutors actually bring a terrorism case to court?

The National Security and Law Society (NSLS) is proud to announce a unique educational opportunity for lawyers and law students interested in counterterrorism, in a special event sponsored by the Nine Eleven Finding Answers (NEFA) Foundation.

On Friday, April 20, 2007, a veteran Department of Justice prosecutor will offer, for the first time to non-governmental personnel, a full-day terrorism threat simulation for a limited number of interested law students and legal professionals.

This exciting, realistic multi-media exercise was developed by the Department of Justice and is the same program currently used to train counterterrorism prosecutors and agents around the country. Over the course of seven hours, attendees will assume the role of counter-terrorism investigators and make collective decisions on how to pursue a fast-moving, evolving terrorist threat situation, receiving immediate feedback from experienced government personnel.

For more information, email nationalsecuritylaw@abanet.org.
Registration is limited to thirty individuals, so early registration is advised. Lunch will be provided. Doug Letter, DOJ Terrorist Litigation Counsel will address the lunch. Full day participation is required.

Friday, April 20, 2007, 9:00 AM-4:00 PM
